In 2019, the top 30 chemical parks achieved a total petrochemical profit of 173.7 billion yuan, accounting for 26% of the country's total petrochemical profit. The profit rate of the top 30 chemical parks is 6.3%, which is one percentage point higher than the average profit rate of the entire industry.

The top 5 accumulated fixed assets investment are: Ningdong Energy and Chemical Base in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Huizhou Daya Bay Economic and Technological Development Zone, Taixing Economic Development Zone in Jiangsu Province, Nanjing Jiangbei New Material Technology Park, Zibo Qilu Chemical Industrial Zone. The total energy consumption of the top 30 parks in 2019 was 146 million tons of standard coal, and the energy consumption per unit of output value added value was 0.48 tons of standard coal/10,000 yuan. Among them, the energy consumption per unit output value of the top 10 parks is 0.33 tons of standard coal per 10,000 yuan.

Compared with the more mature parks on the "Top 30" list, the "Top 10 Potential Parks" started relatively late, but they have more available industrial land, superior location and obvious late-comer advantages. Some of the "Top 10 Potential Parks" have already begun to take shape, and they are hopeful to be among the "Top 30" in the future.
